Guide to the Waterford Modern Homes and Building Show

Even though Dublin continues to be the main location for most of the major exhibitions in the Republic of Ireland, there are still some excellent shows to be found around the country and ones such show is the annual ‘Waterford Modern Homes and Building Show’.

The Waterford Homes Show showcases some of the best modern home and building designs, building equipment, home service providers and just about everything you are likely to need to see and consider when dealing with a modern home. This exhibition is one of the most important exhibitions in the industry and features some of the biggest names in the Irish building industry.

The exhibition takes place at the prestigious Waterford Institute of Technology or WIT; an institution which is located in the South-East part of Ireland in the maritime city of Waterford. The exhibition venue is located in the heart of the city, with a number of accommodation and public transport options available to visitors. For visitors and other participants who choose to drive to the venue, there is free parking available on the campus.

This exhibition takes place over the course of three days, usually during a weekend in the middle of April. During the three days, the exhibition is open to both trade visitors and the general public. The opening times for the exhibition vary according to the day, with the exhibition being open till 9 pm on the one weekday and till 6 pm over the weekend.

The exhibitor profile for this event includes people from various aspects of the building industry. These include suppliers, service providers, real estate developers, building owners and real estate agents. These exhibitors not only showcase their latest achievements but also use it as a platform to launch new products. The exhibition is a great place for visitors to find various new service providers and products necessary for interior design projects, renovations and new buildings.

Waterford is world famous as a town given its connection to ‘Waterford Crystal’ – something which the town takes great pride in and which it is certainly hard not to be aware of once you have spent a few days in this idyllic location.
